Scope of Work

NorthStar performed a Topographic Survey with Boundary, Record Survey, Right-of-Way Dedication, Easements, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Risk Level 1 BMP Monitoring, Civil Engineering Design Services, Mass Grading Plans, Private Civil Improvement Plans, Public Civil Improvement Plans, and Turlock Irrigation improvement plans for a 23-acre milk receiving and distribution facility in Turlock. The mass grading plans consisted of a preliminary grading design to allow grading operations to begin prior to approval of the full construction document package. The private engineering services included the design of an office building, warehouse with truck docks, milk receiving center, guard shack with scale, associated facility buildings, future building pads, farm access road, TID access road, site entries, drive lanes, parking lot, pedestrian safe zone, large truck movement capabilities, storm drainage system, truck dock pumps, percolation basins, positive sewer system capable of handling waste discharge, sewer pump, domestic water system, fire prevention system, and erosion control measures. The public engineering services included the design of Canal Drive, TID access road, roadside percolation basins, public sewer system, dry storm drainage system for future improvements, water system with fire hydrants, and erosion control measures. The TID Improvement Plans included the design of an access road along the existing TID canal, access road along TID utilities, and TID irrigation plans. The civil improvement plans addressed construction details, site demolition, pavement delineation, horizontal control layout, detailed grading and drainage, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, water, profiles, cross sections, erosion control measures and associated calculations for the project development. The plans were prepared and processed through the City of Turlock and TID for approvals.
